Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - Nov 2021 Color Inspiration

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing. 

Today features the Color Inspiration. The team will shares projects incorporating the colors of Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. 


I had lots of ideas, almost too many to make a decision. I was reading up on holidays in November, besides the big Thanksgiving holiday and found a reference to National day of "Drinksgiving". This national holiday happens to be today! With many friends and family returning home for the holiday weekend, many end up getting together the night before for a cocktail! 

With this in mind, I turned to a favorite stamp set, Nothing's Better Than and also my favorite card sketch design that works great for this card. These colors do remind me of something tropical, so the cocktail image from the set fits perfectly with the theme. 

Card Details: 

Stamp Set: 
  •  Nothing's Better Than + Love You More Than Dies
  • A Wish For Everything - sentiment 
Paper: 
  • Coastal Cabana: Card base 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" 
  • Bermuda Bay:     Strip for die cut Cocktails, I placed the paper on adhesive sheet before die cutting to make it easy to adhere to the card.  
  • Real Red: 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" 
  • Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper : 3" x 4 1/2"
  • Vellum: 2 1/2" x 4" - This adds a nice layer under the cocktail dies to mute the silver in the DSP
  • Basic White:  2 1/2 x 3 1/2 strip for cocktail images; scraps for the sentiment that I just fussy cut; 4" x 5 1/4 for inside of card/                      
Ink:  TIP: I stamped off on several of the images first, then used my marker on just the lower part of the inside stamp to create a layer look to the cocktail. 
  • Smoky Slate - glass images
  • Coastal Cabana

  • Tuxedo Black Memento ink - I imply crossed out Thanks and add Drink with my red marker
  • Versamark  - For the 3rd glass that is 'empty', I decided to stamp the inside image with versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. I sponged the slightest wipe of red to give it a 'used' glass look.
