Today features projects Counting Down to Christmas. Christmas traditions often started with prior generations, but also may have begun with you! This blog hop may give you some ideas that you'd like to start
I typically do not make cards in volume. However, Christmas card giving has been a tradition of mine I started many years ago. This means making over 100 cards to send to family & friends. This requires some planning on my part in order to create time and space in my schedule to get them in the mail by early December. I'm fortunate to have several friends that create with me. Typically it begins with a fall craft retreat when we start to get our ideas for our holiday cards solidified. I typically make several designs, often breaking them down into 25-50 cards per design.
This year, I made close to 90 cards from the pack of Tidings of Christmas designer series paper. The initial inspiration came from my card designed for the Christmas in July Blog I made a few other designs using the same paper strips. These are the 7 card designs that made up the 90 cards.
I'm now in the process of getting my address labels updated to print and put on envelopes. I will break down the cards in bundles of 15-20 to sign with a personal message. This gives my hand a break from signing too many at a time. By breaking down this process over a period of 60-90 days, it makes the experience much less stressful and often a very social experience with my friends. I'm on track to have these in the mail around the first week of December.
I've listed all the products at the end of this post. With the exception of the Holly Jolly wishes stamp set, these products are from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog and will be available through the end of April.
