Share It Sunday - December 2023 - Birthday Card Organizer Kit
The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today I'm sharing projects made with the Birthday Card Organizer Kit. I absolutely love this kit for the organizational tool it is. I'm currently south for the winter and I grabbed cards I needed for the 4 months I'm gone, put them in the sleeves separated by months in the kit to bring with me so I can still send birthday cards to my friends and family along with having a stash of Thank You and sympathy/thinking of you cards with me.
Below are photos of what comes in the kit contents. Check out the link to the unboxing video to see how they are put together.
The kit also comes with 12 easy cards to make. As you can see in the photo, the cards are perfectly fine as made, but I thought I'd show an alternative way to use the cards to extend the number of cards you can make in the kit. Note: This kit does not come with a stamp set bit I'm guessing you have a birthday' related stamp set and ink pad you can use to make additional cards.
I made 5 cards using (1) polka dot card base cut diagonally, and the blank white back side for the extra sentiments. I also used 2 of the kit envelopes cut up from the kit into various sizes. The envelopes are the checkered/striped looking layers. I added extra card bases (Basic Black, Basic White, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake with Lost Lagoon layers). I used a few different birthday sentiments along with the one from the kit. I used the embellishments from the kit on 1 card and some from my own stash to each card as well.
I think this time of year is the perfect time to take inventory of your birthday cards. This organizer really helps figure out which cards you may be short on so you can prioritize what to create. As I mentioned in a blog post earlier this month, I'm low on all sorts of birthday cards so I'll be making a few while I'm south for the winter.
