Technique Tuesday - July Watercolor Blog Hop

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today is Technique Tuesday featuring watercolor projects. I mentioned in a recent post that it is World Watercolor Month. If you didn't get a chance to watch the video tutorial Stampin' Up put together, check out the link here

I pulled out my Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and played with a few different techniques. I typically cut the 5"x7" sheets in half (3 1/2"). There really is no right or wrong with watercolor, it's all in how you like the look.

My technique for this one actually resulted from too much water on the back side of the paper making the colors bleed and image completely blurry. For my purpose, I had put too much water onto the paper. I decided to turn the paper over, reink the image again and instead spray a small amount of water with my spritzer onto the stamp and stamped it again and got this image! So pretty. The key with watercolor is allowing it to dry before adhering it to your card base. I typically wait until the next day to make sure.
