#DOswts390 Sketch Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's feature project is based on the below sketch.

My card is not exactly like the sketch, but definitely in the spirt of the sketch. I've been playing with water coloring and the Wonderful World stamp set, I worked with all 3 floral images. I decided to use make one of them work with this sketch. For World Watercolor Month, Stampin' Up has put together a wonderful video with tutorial on a few watercolor projects. Check out the link here

The Purple is just so darn pretty and sets off well with Garden Green!! Once I colored the image, I used the Stampin' Spritzer to spray water onto the colored stamp image. The center image is stamped full on water color and then without adding more color or water I stamped the other 2 images. When It was dry I thought maybe adding another stamped outline would help the flowers come through more clear. As you can see, I did this free hand (not with the accuracy of the Stamparatus) which means they are slightly off giving it a 'blurry" look, yet I like the way the images turned out! This is the beauty of watercolor, it is not meant to have a 'perfect look'.
