Hello JH Stamping Studio Crafters!
I've been working on creating cards for the DO Stamper Stars Challenge that is using the them from the Chinese New Year! One of the cards is to use Red & Gold. These colors are considered very lucky: Red for good fortune and happiness together with gold for wealth.
I'm using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder and Gold Metallic embossing powder.
- Apply the VersaMark directly to the embossing folder
- Insert the 4 x 5 1/4 red card stock into the embossing folder and emboss with the Cut & Emboss machine
- generously sprinkle the metallic gold embossing powder onto the card stock and shake off excess
- with your heat tool, heat the powder until it starts to turn bright gold and move all over layer until done.
It's such an impressive look. I took some gold foil paper to die cut the heart and frame using the stitched rectangle dies as a nice frame around the embossed layer. This is adhered to the gold embossed red layer and then both layers are applied to the red card stock base with Stampin' Dimensionals
The sentiment 'good luck' was also embossed. I die cut the smaller heart from the die cut heart in the original embossed layer and added the gold foil trim for a final touch.
Here are some additional projects using he Love & Happiness Bundle. It really has a lot of versatility to it and is prefect for any anniversary, wedding or valentine occasion.
