Brave Viking - Mirror Image "Water" Reflection card

Hello JH Stamping Studio crafters!

My card club group wanted to learn the mirror image technique, so we made several cards to showcase different ways to use this technique. This technique is relatively new to me as well. I'll be sharing these cards over the next week(s).

First and foremost, to be successful with this technique you need a Stamparatus - this allows you to set up the stamp onto the plate and note have to move it so it is in the same, but reflecting spot of the original image. Additionally, a Silicone craft mat is needed to stamp the same image onto the craft mat which allows the ink image to transfer to your paper in the opposite direction.

I stamped the main boat image in black first. Removed the paper, stamped the image again in Gray Granite onto the craft mat -2x to make sure your ink is dark enough. Turn the card stock with the original image over and gently placed it on top of the craft mat to rub the image onto the cardstock. Blending the sunny horizon and water was done after these images we're stamped. Use post it notes to mask where they meet.

This card is my favorite card of the 3 we made! It also incorporates blending to create the water and sun horizon. The Simply Marbelous paper works perfect to create a watery background.
