Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Back To School

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing. 

Today features the Stampin' Dreams Back To School blog hop where the team shares a project for Back to School! Whether it's a gift for teachers, a card celebrating the start of a new chapter, or anything else we come up with


I saw a cute backpack on Pinterest that I thought would be perfect for this theme. Thinking of colors, a daughter of a friend of mine just started college in South Dakota and the colors are yellow and blue, which go so well together. I turned to the Sweet Symmetry paper and of course the All Dressed Up Dies. The dies have the majority of what you need to create the backpack: straps, buttons, buckles if you want, pocket, etc. The top flap was originally cut using the oval stitched shapes which are no longer current so I turned to my trusty Tasteful Label dies and found the largest die cut worked perfectly. I added the ABC's for that touch of School basics.


Sharing the backside. You attach Tear and Tape at bottom and top of the straps. I also used a small glue dot to keep the backpack flap closed, but I've seen people add a velcro or magnet closures.

These can be perfect for a teacher or student to add a small liquid hand soap, treat, post it note, whatever your imagination can come up with that fits in the back pack. # x 3 notecards are also the perfect size to add a note in the backpack.
