Today features the Technique Tuesday where the team shares projects related to a specific technique. This month's topic is PunchTechnique,
I've chosen a pretty simple technique using the Tailored Tag Punch. It is one of my favorite punches, especially for sentiments, but in this instance, I am using it to punch a variety of DSP pieces and piece them together, like a puzzle onto the card.
I used the Simply Elegant designer series paper and made 3 punches. I also used Basic Gray coordinating card stock for the 4th punch which will have my sentiment. One of the punched papers is cut in half and place on either end of the layout. The great thing about this punch is that the punched paper is easy to match up when you place multiple pieces onto the paper, just like a puzzle. Very simple, yet a unique look on the final card. Stampin' Up's Designer series paper make it easy to use this technique because they coordinate so well together, whether using the front, back or mixing both in a layout.
I placed the pieces onto Very Vanilla using the Stampin' Seal adhesive runner. This was then placed onto a layer of Basic Gray. I used Basic Black for the base card and added a layer of very vanilla inside as well so you can write a note. Last, I added embellishments form the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials. It's hard to see, but 2 are in the cut end pieces and one on the sentiment tag.
This is such an easy card to create and yet it looks so elegant. The paper really creates that look. We'll be making this card in my Birthday Card Class scheduled on August 21st. Today is the last day to RSVP for this class and submit payment. Head to my
