The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today's feature is "Step It Up". This is to show you how you can take what is a simple card using just stamps, ink, paper and step it up by adding as little or as much as you want. These skill levels are often explained as Beginner, Casual or Avid stamper. Sometime I'm all three depending on the time I have to create, and the supplies I may need.
I chose the Sparkle of The Season Bundle. This is bundle is from the new July- Dec Mini Catalog. I chose it mainly because it gives me options to make cards for all 3 holidays -Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also chose it because it is not my normal style, so it pushes me outside of my comfort zone to improve my card making skills.
The first card I made with this set was a Thanksgiving card, so I decided to make a similar card with the stamps/ink only, and of course paper. Here is the finished card. I had to try it a few times because too many image made it messy, so less is definitely best in this case. I decided to incorporate the same brick looking designer series paper from Bloom Where Your Planted.
Here is my fully stepped up version adding in the die cuts from the bundle, a die cut sentiment, embossed the white background paper and added the ribbon. This takes more time to put together but it definitely gives it a 'wow' effect.
