Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - August 2022

Welcome to the July kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

The August Paper Pumpkin kit, Sweet Sunflowers is possibly one of SU's best kit ever! It has supplies to make 9 cards if you make them as the instructions outline. However, the card bases in this kit have designs on both the front and back which means you could cut them and double the amount of cards. Not to mention amazingly beautiful envelopes that can be cut up if you like to do that sort of thing. 

This kit includes:  See Flyer 

• All the supplies you need to create 9 cards: 3 each of 3 designs; and coordinating envelopes.
• An all-occasion stamp set to express words of gratitude, friendship, greetings and beautiful wildflower designed images.
• Specialty Vellum honeycomb shape pre-cut pieces.
• (2) Classic Stampin’ Spots (Crushed Curry and Soft Suede) for a Two-Step stamping experience with a twist!
• Paper pieces and embellishments with watercolor designs and images.
• Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• FREE GIFT: 8 Gold Foil Honeycomb Sheets - this is a great addition for when you want to make extra cards from the kit. 

For my Alternative card I decided to cut apart one of the envelopes and use it for the top layer. I also cut one of the evergreen card bases and used one as the bottom layer.

Isn't this just stunning, and so easy to assemble. There's always a few extra elements in the kit, so I used one of the extra sentiment die cuts and the bees. The honeycomb layer is not extra but I was experimenting with using it as a stencil to blend with crushed curry as a background so it is colored.
