Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Scraps

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the Stampin' Dreams Hop topic using scraps in our projects. Since it's my Birthday today, I decided to create a fun Birthday card!

The Rainbow Glimmer paper is retiring 5/2/2022 with the annual catalog and is available at 20% off the below listed price. I have 1 full sheet and a bunch of scraps. I find it very difficult to toss paper in general, but especially the glimmer paper and try to use every piece possible! 

This is just a sample of what I had for scraps. I decided to grab my Playful Alphabet dies, also retiring and available at 20% off the below listed price. These are easy to die cut using small scraps. I then cut 1" x 1" squares of various parts of the rainbow scraps to pull in all the colors on my card. Tip: Add adhesive sheets to the paper before die cutting/trimming, makes it much easier to adhere to the card base.

I created a slim line card to fit all the squares/letters. The 'happy' and inside sentiment (below) are from the Happiest Of Birthdays set, also retiring and is no longer available to order from the Last Chance list.

 

I cut 1" off the front of the slimline base card and attached the squares to the inside bottom layer of the card base so you can see the beautiful rainbow glimmer at all times!! The Black 3/8" organdy glitter ribbon was a good fit for more glitter. This is also retiring at full price.

The hardest part of the card was lining up the squares/letters, but overall a very easy to create!
