Welcome to the March kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash
Every March, Paper Pumpkin celebrates it's anniversary and adds a free 2nd stamp set to the kit. This March kit is absolutely beautiful! So many options to create with it.
This month’s Beyond the Horizon Paper Pumpkin Kit kit contains enough elements to create 9 cards—3 each of 3 designs—and 9 coordinating envelopes. This all-inclusive kit includes printed 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card bases and envelopes, die-cut paper pieces, embellishments, adhesive, and more!
- The stamp set is perfect for any occasion. With sentiments that say “thanks”, “hello”, “thinking of you,” and so many more, you’ll be able to use this stamp set year round.
- It includes a Misty Moonlight Stampin' spot. Coordinating colors are: Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pale Papaya
- This kit perfectly coordinates with the New Horizons Suite Collection in our January–June 2022 Mini Catalog Which means even more exclusive elegant watercolor designs curated by our in-house artists just for you!
I decided to use the free extra stamp set that has some beautiful floral images and additional sentiments. I created the below simple, but elegant card. I added the ribbon and embellishments from the kit. Inks for the flower is night of navy and misty moonlight. Leaves are old olive.
I loved the floral image so much I decided to create another card using the triple time technique. You start out with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of basic white and randomly stamp the floral and leaf images. I used Polished Pink and Mango Melody to randomly stamp the image. When the colors overlapped it created a more orange pink look which is a nice touch in the card. I snuck the leaves in where there was open white space.
Next I decided to use Mango Melody as the base card only (5 1/2 x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/4") The rest of the layers are polished pink. Using the stitched rectangle dies, I die cut the stamped images and then the layers with various size of the die cuts. The floral and card stock layer were then adhered to each other and adhered in layers with Stampin' Seal onto the main card base.April Paper Pumpkin: Change Is Beautiful - Want to make sure you get the next month’s kit?
