Hello Crafters!
I am celebrating my Granddaughters 2nd birthday today and thought I'd share one of Stampin' Up!'s newest card kits, which has a birthday theme.
The card kit has enough supplies to make 8 cards, including the stamp set, ink spot, die cuts for you to punch out, embellishments, and adhesives. Tip: I do use my own Stampin' Seal instead of the adhesive dots that come with the kit.
I always like to start with taking apart the elements in the kit and placing the pieces that go with the specific card. Each kit comes with instructions on how to make the card, but you can make your own creative changes as well. This time I decided to make the cards as is because they were so cute and the glitter layer that goes under each stencil fit perfectly with the elements!
You can just make out some of the glitter color underneath the cake stencil, it is just so fun. Who wouldn't want to receive one of thee cards for their birthday? When your done making the 8 cards to have in your birthday stash of cards, you then have the stamp set and ink spot to use to make other cards in the future. At a minimum you need some paper and an envelope, but if you have other birthday sets, these sentiments are super fun to add to your card. See the product list below to click on the link to the kit.
Stampin' Up! also added another card kit to the Kit Collection last week. This one is perfect to make for kids cards, or creating with your children/grandchildren. I've just ordered mine and hope to be able to make this with my grandson who is currently obsessed with robots! Here is a link for more details
Celebrate all the birthdays in your life with handmade cards! Have a great week!
