Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - Alternative Inspiration September 2021.

Welcome to the September Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

The September Kit is all about treat packages. you can watch the unboxing Video and a separate video on how the box assembles into a wheelbarrow.

When looking to create an alternative project from this kit I found there were so many leaf die cuts in this kit that I decided to use some of them in a different fashion, namely turned them around and 'sponged' them using the baby wipe ink technique to create the multitude of colors that fall brings.

Ink refills used are Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Olive Green, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight. Drop ink onto the baby wipe so there are no uncovered spaces. I then took a piece of my sponge and sponged it all over the white side of the die cut sheet.

I decided to make my cards using the sponged die cut sheet and leave the leaves for another project. This first card below is using the Beauty of The Earth designer series paper behind the blank leaf spaces. I added a layer of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. The Tag is from the kit along with the sentiment. I tied it with the linen thread and added a Champagne rhinestone. I'm super pleased with how this card turned out.

There was a leftover piece cut from the original die cut sheet that I decided to make a 2nd card with. I went with a bit more traditional look and added various 'fall' card stock colors behind the empty images. I used Versamark to stamp the leaf vine images from the stamp set. To coordinate the leaves I used a different pattern from the Beauty of the Earth DSP and added the Bumblebee Gingham ribbon at the seam. I stamped a sentiment from the kit onto the white tag that I cut the end off and layered it onto the Early Espresso card stock. Champagne Rhinestones were added to this card as well.
