#DOswts370 - Sketch Inspiration

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's feature project is based on the below sketch.

I struggled a bit with this one as I do not have much in the way of tag dies or punches. I did try it with the Elegant tag punch, but was not happy with the size of it. I turned to the Scalloped Contour dies that cut an opening around the edge of the die cut that I thought would be fun to try and place my ribbon through. Hanging this vertical gave it a better balance on the card.  I stamped the floral image from the Elegantly Said stamp set onto this 'tag' and added some Wink of Stella for sparkle.

I had some Simple Elegant DSP larger scraps and decided to use the front and back of 2 pieces, adhering them at an angle. The tricky part was getting the ribbon on. I didn't like it all the way across the card so I decided to adhere it behind the 2 pieces of DSP and then adhere the whole set with dimensionals.

The card still needed something else and that is when I grabbed for the Be Dazzling layer and basic rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Very Versailles stamp set and die cut with the small circle from the Tasteful Labels.
Overall, not my typical card, but it was a fun sketch and layout to work with.

Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration to create using this sketch!
