The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today features the 'Monthly Technique Tuesday projects where the team shares projects related to a specific technique. This month's topic is Ink Technique
A few months back I made a card using the baby wipe technique and I absolutely loved it, so I decided to do it again because it has turned out to be one of my favorite techniques with ink.
Select any kind of baby wipe brand. I use 2 wipes, fold them into a square or size for your stamps. Select the ink colors you wish to use, 3 are recommended. I chose Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and So Saffron. Starting with the darkest to lightest colors, squeeze drops of ink onto the baby wipe filling in any 'white space' with the final lightest color. A craft mat is very helpful to limit the mess.
Next, take your stamps and ink them up on the baby wipe ink. Stamp the image on white paper. Water color paper is not necessary, I just used the basic white and then die cut the images.
I stamped randomly on white paper with the large stamp image that makes the paper look like alcohol ink. I also stamped off first with the smaller flower image to create a lighter look. I decided to add in the beautiful floral die cut from the Artistic Dies to help set off the images. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the many messages bundle I keep on hand.
I love how the card turned out. The inks look even better in person. I hope this inspired you to give this technique a try. It is quite easy to create and allows a lot of creativity with trying different colors.
Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun, Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.
