Hello JH Stamping Studio Crafters! I promised yesterday I would provide a sneak peak of projects I made using products from the Salea-bration! brochure.
Stampin' Up! is offering a 2nd Salea-bration! promotion for the first time starting August 3rd with the roll out of the Mini Aug-Dec catalog. Those of who are familiar with the annual Jan-Feb Salea-bration know this is a great opportunity to earn some free product. With each $50 in orders, you can earn one item from the Salea-bration brochure, select items require $100 in orders.
I was immediately drawn to the Counting Sheep stamp set. I'm so happy they added die cuts to go with the set!! These are two separate items in the brochure, so $100 or more in orders will get you both the stamp set and dies. The die cuts come with a fence that is so cute!! There is also a balloon, flag, sun and clouds die cuts in addition to the 3 sheep and birthday hat included in the stamp set.
I chose to stamp one of the sheep images onto the 2021-23 6x6 designer series paper in Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia. How cute did they turn out?!? I put strips of the same colors behind the white layer which is adhered with dimensionals. The balloons are die cut with coordinating paper Melon Mambo, Mango Melody an Gorgeous grape. The same ink colors were used to stamp the birthday hat. I die cut them to adhere with mini dimensional onto the sheep's head. Lastly, I used the Create With Friends stamp set for the sentiment in the same inks.
I thought I would use this design to make 15 swap cards to trade with my fellow DO Stamper Stars, but the card had more work to it than I wanted to duplicate on that many cards. Thinking of creating a similar card design, but without die cutting the sheep, I created the below card.
This time I used all 3 sheep images and their birthday hats stamped onto basic White cardstock in different ink colors - left to right: Mango Melody, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape. Same color in balloons displayed behind the sentiment. The Mango Melody layer behind the white really helps pop the colors. Base card is White thick cardstock. How fun is this!! I think of a young (or old) girl giggling when she receives this birthday card!!
.
Salea-bration also adds additional host rewards.
