Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - July 2022 Color Inspiration

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Today features a color challenge. The team shares projects using the below colors. I absolutely love these colors. Most of them are in the Brights Collection which is my favorite collection of Stampin" Up! colors.

Given it is World Watercolor Month I tried out the Faux Water Color Technique using the flower from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set. Click here for a link to a video on this technique. 

I really love how this turned out. The colors are just so beautiful!

• Water Painters - Once you stamp the flower in the ink color, use the water painters to pull the color from the outline of the stamp image to make it look like water coloring.

#DOswts391- Christmas In July Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Today's Feature is another Christmas In July. Let's face it, you can't have too many Christmas/Holiday card inspirations to choose from. I'm sticking to some similar products as my last Christmas in July, only I switched up some colors and instead used a large pieces of that beautiful Snowflake 12 x 12 Specialty Vellum paper to really create a snowfall look. 

Isn't this fun! OMG- I was just giddy when the card was finished. I stamped the two colors for each tree on the backside of the vellum. The trick to stamping on Vellum is to walk away and let it dry. It was still a bit wet to the touch a day later but since it is in the back side, no one is touching it. Stamping on the back also creates a 'blurry' layer to the trees amongst the 'falling snow' dots on the vellum layer.

• scrap for sentiment layer 3" x 3/34

• Scrap 3/4" x 3"- sentiment 
• Snowflake 12 x 12 Specialty Vellum - 5 1/4" x 4"- after stamping/drying the vellum, lay right on top of the white card base with various glue dots on the 'snow' dots. The white  helps everything show through well. 
• Ink - Tip when double stamping the trees, stamp bottom image in the lighter of your two colors and top layer in darker color

Fun in the Sun Blog Hop

Today we're sharing Fun In The Sun theme projects. I turned to the Butterfly Kisses 6x6 Designer Series Paper which along with the butterflies fits perfectly with this summer theme 

 

The design of this card is from the July 2022 SheetLoad of cards offered each month from @callmecraftyal. I have really enjoyed her sketches and try to do them each month. The sentiment is from the Amazing Phrasing words to make this into a belated birthday or other occasion  card. I fussy cut the butterflies from the designer series paper to add as final embellishments. I absolutely love the bright Summer colors in this paper!

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop July 2022

Today's theme is brought to you by Delys Cram and is about creating a layout using our favorite color!! 

It's actually really hard picking a favorite color from all the beautiful colors Stampin' Up! offers. However, when asked the question about my favorite color, it is Red. Has been for most of my life. With all the lovely red holiday designer series paper in the July- Dec 2022 Mini catalog, I decided to create a Christmas layout. 

I used to be pretty good on keeping up with holiday photos and scrapbooking, but I have not done one in a very long time. I also don't seem to take as many photos, but I did in Christmas 2009. My son had come home after his first semester in college and I was a bit horrified at how long his hair was. I made copies of the lower left photos and included it in cards to family that year. This page will be a good start to the 2009 Holiday pages!
