Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today's feature is Summertime Inspiration and is giving you a sneak peak at the Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamp set and Hippo Dies. Sale-A-Bration promotion starts next week on Friday July 1, 2022! I think these two Hippo products are going to be a very popular item during Sale-A-Bration. If you want to get these two items, you'll want to place your $100 or more order early in the promotion before inventory possibly runs out before the promotion ends on August 31.
There are 3 Hippo images in the set. The dancing hippo is absolutely adorable. Summertime makes me think of dance recitals, and I've seen quite a few cards made with this cute hippo ballerina. In this card I used two tools critical to the success of the card:
Stamparatus - the hinge plate can be moved up each time to create the row of dancing hippos
Masking paper: pg. 149 in the annual catalog. This is a new product and much better than using post-it notes. I stamped the hippo onto the 2 sided masking paper, die cut it and peeled off one sticky side. I stamped the first hippo and then laid the masking paper over it as I moved the hinge plate up to stamp another hippo. I repeated it until I had all 4 hippos
Pro Tip: the masking paper can stick stronger than you're used to with a post it. I pressed down in the middle of the image to leave space to make it easier to pull up the masking paper each time I needed to move it over. It looses it's stickiness a bit over time but it's still sticky for me to use in a future project.
The 5th Hippo is a die cut, popped up on dimensionals. I decided to color each tutu a different color with my Stampin' Blends. Doesn't this just make you smile?!?

Welcome to the June kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.
The June kit is Pick of the Crop which has lots of harvest type images long with a mini shopping bag to decorate!
This kit includes:
Enough elements to create 9 cards—3 each of 3 designs—and 9 coordinating envelopes. This all-inclusive kit includes printed card bases, die-cut paper pieces, adhesive, and more! Card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (10.8 x 14 cm) with coordinating envelopes.
The Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin Kit includes a Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Spot!
This kit’s stamp set is perfect for expressing your love, gratitude, and style. With sentiments that say “Love you a whole bunch”, “You’re the pick of the crop”, “You are the sweetest,” and so many more, you’ll be able to use this photopolymer stamp set for all of your summer projects.
This kit also includes specialty vellum pieces to add a fresh touch to your cards.
And you’ll get a Mini Shopping Bag (5-3/8" x 6"; 13.7 x 15.2 cm) which can be used to hold a couple cards for a unique craft element. (Additional bags available to purchase separately.)
Coordinating colors: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Night of Navy, Soft Succulent In addition to the kit, starting June 13, you will have the option to purchase (4) Mini Shopping Canvas Bags
In addition, you can now purchase and Add-On Kit of (4) mini shopping bags;
Item Number: 161922
Item Price: $13.00 USD | $18.00 CAD
I often prefer to start with the stamp set and see what images I can create with. I also like to cut apart at least one envelope to see how it coordinates with a design. I was able to use both in this alternative creation. I used very little product that was not with the kit.

Are you enjoying the warm weather we're finally getting in MN? I've actually been in Northern MN at our annual Breezy Point Timeshare. I've been coming up here for close to 40 years. First as a young adult, when my parents bought it, although not every year they owned it. Then when my kids were just preschoolers (now their 31 and soon to be 29!) We love the beauty and serenity this week gives us from a break in our routine. Sad to say, I'll be heading home tomorrow, but I'm feeling refreshed!
This is the 2nd of posts highlighting Swap cards from the 2022-23 annual catalog. The below cards were made using the Sun Prints suite of products. I do not own this suite, but I did get the designer series paper, which is beautiful. As you can see from the images and die cuts, the stamp set and dies are equally beautiful. This bundle is on my wish list, so I may end up getting it at some point this year.
The below cards were made using the Bottled Happiness bundle. I've share a few cards made with this bundle. The floral images are a 2 step stamp and are quite beautiful. A limitless combination of colors can be used. I think this punch and future sets to go with it will be around for awhile. A great set to have in your inventory.
Last, but not least the Sending Smiles bundle. This bundle is also a two-step stamp with all the die cuts to match including the dual 'Sending' word with a matching background die. There is so much versatility with this stamp set . You can keep it simple or dress it up!
These swaps were just small sampling of the wonderful products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. If you have not received a catalog and would like one, message me at any of the below means of communication. I'd love to be your Demonstrator and send you a catalog along with answering any questions you may have about Stampin' Up! products. .

Today's challenge theme is Numbers brought to you by Julia Quinn
The 2022-23 Annual Catalog added a new alphabet stamp set called "Alphabest" which includes numbers in the images. It is bundled with the "Best Label" punch. I like the punch as it's easier for me to line up the letters on my layout.
I also wanted to use the Texture Chic designer series paper. I had a family photo of the grandkids with their grandpa (Dad's father) on his 90th birthday celebration that worked well with this paper. With the Gold accents of the paper I decided to add gold embossing with the letters and numbers. Such an elegant look to a distinguished photo.
We are so thankful to have taken the time to spend a vacation in AZ for his Birthday and get professional photos with Grandpa. He passed away 3 years later in late 2017.
