#DOswts399 Sketch Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Today's feature project is based on the below sketch. 

I switched up the sketch a bit but was inspired by having some sort of die cuts on the far left. I decided to add my die cuts where they could be seen both from the front and inside. With this in mind, I cut the cardstock at 7 1/4, scored at 4 1/4. This leaves 1 1/4 space open on the far left. 

I often pick bold colors but decided to go lighter thinking 'spring' in the middle of our dark days of winter. 

 

I am a coffee lover, so this card is perfect for the person in your life who believes coffee does make it better! 

Card Details

• Stamps
• Nothing Better Than - pairs with Love You More Than Dies
• Tip: I trimmed off the word 'better' from the sentiment stamp so I could easily stamp it multiple times on in the inside
• Paper
• Basic White Thick: card base 7 1/4 x 5 1/2 score at 4 1/4 
• Basic White (regular) 1 1/4 x 6 strip to stamp and die cut coffee cups + scrap for sentiment
• Parakeet Party: 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 
• Butterfly Kisses 6x6 designer series paper: 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 
• Ink - TIP: For the inside stamp of the coffee cup, I stamped off 1st to give it a lighter look
• Parakeet Party - 'Coffee" is stamped right on the DSP paper
• Flirty Flamingo

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Christmas

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Today features the monthly Stampin Dreams theme of Christmas! I make over 100 Christmas cards to send to family and friends. I also recently held a card class making only holiday cards. I chose one of those cards to share today. 

The design for this card came from a mystery card challenge we had in September with the DO Stamper STARS. I'd call it a modified fun fold as the card base is 4-1/4" x 6-3/4" then scored at 5-1/2". You attach the designer series paper layer which becomes the main part of your front card and the other side of the design can be seen on the inside of your card.

Technique Tuesday - Nov 2022 Glitz and Glam Blog Hop

Today features the monthly Technique Tuesday. Today's topic is Glitz & Glam stepped-up cards. When I think of glam, I think of shimmer and sparkle, which I love. The Real Red & White Glimmer paper fit the bill perfectly! 

Look at that glam! I love the sparkle shimmer of this paper. The sentiment was embossed with white powder. I loved how the embossed circle turned out. Adding the gems and silver bow took it over the top!

• Cherry Cobbler card base: 11 x 4 1/4 -score at 5 1/2
• extra strip for embossed sentiment 
• Basic White layer: 3 3/4 x 5 - adhere the adhesive sheets to this layer for the glimmer strips
• 5 1/4 x 4 inside layer 
• Real Red & White 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper: (7) 3/8" x 6 strips of each color - some you can trim to use for smaller strips. Adhere diagonally on the now sticky white layer. Trim off the excess with scissor snips
• Vellum: 4 x 4; Emboss first with Snowflake folder from the Wintery 3D set than cut with stitched circle die cut from Stylish Shapes. Adhere by hiding dimensional behind sentiment strip and minis behind rhinestones.

• Versamark 
• Cherry cobbler (Inside sentiment)

• Basic Embossing powders- White 
• Heat Tool
• Stampin' cut & Emboss Machine

• Wintry 3D Embossing folder 
• Red Rhinestones Basic jewels - adhere over center of 3 snowflakes 
• Simple Elegant Trim -silver trim bow adhered with glue dot 
• Adhesives: Adhesive Sheets Multipurpose glue, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals (regular & mini)
