#DOSWTS380 - Sketch Inspiration

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's feature project is based on the below sketch.

I've been super busy creating lots of valentines/Anniversary/Wedding and general 'love' related cards for a Valentines Boutique I'm attending today. I figured I create one last card to add to the collection. The Color & Contour florals got me thinking about a bouquet of flowers. I've used so much Real Red, I decide to switch it up and use Poppy Parade. I really love how stunning the card looks with the black and checkered paper.

Who wouldn't love receiving this card? If you have time today, head out to the Dancing Dragon Fly Winery, 2013- 120th Ave., St Croix Falls WI to enjoy the Valentines Mini Market Boutique (11am - 4pm), enjoy some wine and grab a bite in their beautiful tasting room.

Valentines Day Mini Market Boutique - Saturday, February 12, 2022 11 am - 4pm

Hello Crafters,

I've been a bit MIA on my Blog this past week making lots of projects for a Valentines Day Mini Market (click link for FB details) I am participating in Tomorrow, Saturday February 12, 2022. It is held at the lovely Dancing Dragonfly Winery, 11 am - 4pm. The winery is located at 2013 -120th Ave, St Croix Falls WI.

Here is a sample of the products I'll be selling at the boutique:

Lots of cards - My board will display Valentines/Anniversary/Wedding cards, but I'll also have my card rack of a large variety of greeting cards.

I created a variety of card boxes: The below includes (5) 3x3 mini valentines with "punny' sentiments on them, perfect for kids that may need some valentines for their friends. Chocolate included.

I also have boxes with 6 note size cards, These 2 are valentine, but I have 2 others that are ore generic.

Let's not forget treat packaging. I've got lots of inventory with 3 different kinds to choose from, all with some sort of chocolate in them.

Next, I used the hearts from the Paper Pumpkin kit for pencil or pen gift ideas, perfect for the classroom!

Last, but not least, I ordered some mini, tear off calendars and made some desk top easel cards to easily have a calendar ready for viewing. This also fits in an envelope, perfect for a gift. Teachers will love this on their desktop!

I'll have some of my DIY kits for sale as well, perfect to create during these long MN winter months, no extra supplies necessary.

I'm hoping these gift ideas will appeal to those attending the boutique. I hope to see you there tomorrow. The winery is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. They do offer soda/water & beer in their cooler and have a good menu of items to choose from to enjoy a meal. I'll have a free valentine card for any of my JH Stamping Studio customers that stop by!

If I don't see you, Happy Valentines/Galentines day!

Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - Alternative Inspiration January 2022 Kisses & Hugs

Welcome to the September Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

There was unfortunately some delays in shipping with the Jan kit, but still got it in time to make some valentines cards! This kit also has an add on option for Kisses & Hugs Mini Treat Boxes. They are super easy to make. Click on this video to see details on assembling the kit and treat boxes.

Details:

Kit contains enough supplies to create 10 cards—5 each of 2 designs—and 10 coordinating envelopes
Kit features an exclusive Two-Step photopolymer stamp set
Kit includes a Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Spot
Card size: 4-1/2" x 4-1/4" (11.4 x 10.8 cm) heart-shaped cards; folded
Coordinating colors: Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Gray Granite, Very Vanilla

Demonstrator Rachel Tessman shared some great ideas on her YouTube Video you can find here

I used her idea of a fun fold taking the 1st and 3rd heart and scoring it down the middle then folding it back.

I decided to make this a chocolate card. I've been working on so many treat packaging that Chocolate has been on my mind! I used the Nothing Better Than stamp set and Love You More Than Dies. I added some of my own inks and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I also used a sentiment from the Love & Happiness Stmp set, but the rest of the supplies are from the kit

Making the Chocolate- I used very Vanilla paper

Ink:

Early Expresso - I stamped off for the 'inside' part of the dark chocolate
Flirty Flamingo - outside of pink chocolate
Blushing Bride - inside of pink chocolate
VersaMark - I used the Metallic Gold to heat emboss the front sentiment on the pink card

The "White" chocolate I also used Clear Embossing and the Ivory Stampin' Blend over the top to add color.

Don’t forget to check out all the fun projects made as part of this blog hop! The Crafty Collaborations group puts on several blog hops a month, as well as monthly tutorial bundles, and other ‘work smarter not harder’ projects.
