Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - June 2021 Fun Fold using the Ride The Range Bundle

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing. 

Today's feature will be Fun Fold cards. I made what I will label a modified Overlay Fun Fold card. Modified because I do not have the strip all the way across the top 

  

With the January - June Mini Catalog expiring at the end of the month, I've been trying to make as many projects as possible using one of my favorite sets, the Ride The Range Bundle! I had so much fun making this card, I actually giggled when it was done! 

The Ride the Range Bundle lends itself to such beautiful landscape looking cards.

Card Details

Stamps: Ride The Range Stamp Set and Open Range Dies Bundle 

Paper:

• Cinnamon Cider 
• 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, score at 4-1/4". Trim off 1" from each edge of the card front only
• Scrap for die cut windmill.
• Very Vanilla 
• 3-1/4" x 4" inside of card
• Various scraps for Open Range Die Cuts -cows, hay stack, horseshoe, good luck sentiment & two cowboys on iside
• Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper 
• "Blue sky" 3-1/4" x 4" front, 1/4" x 4 inside top of flap
• "Wood" barn - 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" trim to fit card, 1" x 4 " to die cut fence on inside of card.  
• Green 3/4" x 3 1/4" strip at bottom front of card, 1/4" x 3 1/4" for bottom of inside card
• Two "foliage" looking strips of 1" x 4"
• Evergreen pattern -2 scraps punched with pine tree

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - June 2021 Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder Technique with Ride The Range Bundle

Today features the 'Monthly Technique Tuesday projects where the team shares projects related to a specific technique. This month's topic is Embossing Folders. 

I chose the Evergreen Forest 3D folder in my project and also applied some ink to the raised surface of the trees with the water painters to give it a bit more dimension as the background to the Ride The Range Bundle retiring June 30th! It also happens to be a Double Dutch Door Fun Fold, which works perfectly with this bundle. 

The water coloring really highlights the trees really well. 

Open the flaps and the cows are crazing 

Room to leave a nice message on the inside of the card. 

    

Card Details

Stamps: Ride The Range Stamp Set + Open Range Dies Bundle

Soft Suede 

Base Card - 4 3/16 x 9 score at 5 1/2

Door Panel - 2 x 8 1/2 score 2 1/8 and 6 3/8 

This is adhered to back of main panel 

        Die Cuts - 5 x 3 for fence, windmill on adhesive sheets  

Scrap -1 1/2 x 2 for horseshoe stamped in soft suede and die cut

Seafoam - 4 1/8 x 3 3/8

Run through Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder 

Opt'l/recommended - using water painters with mint macaron lightly only over raised portion of             evergreens  

Designer Series Paper: 2021-22 In Color 6 x 6 - Soft Succulent 

Front Door flaps (2) - 2 x 1 7/8 

Inside door flaps (2) - 1/2 x 2 1/8 

Very Vanilla 

Inside Card - 5 1/4 x 4 

Main Sentiment Layer 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 - cut with Stitched So Sweetly dies  

Scrap for 'Good Luck'  - cut with Stitched So Sweetly dies

What is Mystery Stamping Challenge?

You are given a list of supplies. Using those supplies, we'll make a card together during our Facebook live video on Saturday at 12:30pm(CT).

Here's your Mystery Stamping Challenge - CLUE #1 = Gather supplies and cut paper before Saturday!

· STAMP SET: (can be from same or different sets)
    o Choose a smaller image for the focal point
    o Choose a smaller sentiment, not wider than 2 1/2”

· INK: to match paper (see below)

· PAPER:
o Card base: 5 1/2”x 8 1/2” (score at 4-1/4”), cut a 2 3/4” square of same color
o Coordinating cardstock 3” x 5 1/2”
o Designer Series Paper: 2 3/4” x 5 1/2”
o White or Vanilla cardstock: 2 1/2” square

· OTHER:
o Embellishments: Twine/Ribbon, Jewels/Dots (optional)

Creativity Made Easy with Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up!

I’m excited to share with you a new line of creative products called the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Up! has taken the guess work out of creativity and done the hard parts, and you get to do the fun stuff: craft!
