Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - September 2023

Welcome to the September kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

September With Love & Gratitude Kit has so much potential for creating alternative cards. The stamp set is quite lovely and the kit elements/colors are a bit nontraditional for fall, but very pretty. 

The Kit includes:

• 8 treat packages
• 8 note cards and 8 coordinating envelopes
• 1 Lost Lagoon Ink Spot
• Specialty gold foil, precut embellishments
• Finished treat packaging: 3-1/2" x 5" x 2"
• Final card size: 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
• Coordinating Stampin’ Up! colors: Copper Clay, Crumb Cake, gold foil, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pebbled Path

For an alternative, I decided to make a similar alternative to the sample that was photo'd on the back of the kit instructions. The main image is the leaf stamp from the kit stamp set. I stamped the image onto Soft Sea Foam ink and then used the Copper Clay Stampin' Write marker over the stems portion of the image, which is stamped onto a layer of Very Vanilla. The two images on the right side of card are connected and then the left side is a stamped off portion of the image. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. 

The base layer is Mossy Meadow and then I added a crumb cake layer. A small piece of cut Copper Clay ribbon really helped pop the sentiment on the piece of cut Crumb Cake.

Crafty Challenge - September 2023 Color Inspiration

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Today features the monthly Crafty Challenger projects featuring the below color challenge.

These colors made me think of Christmas, so I turned to my Christmas sets and decided to do a bit of emboss resist with the Snow Crystal image. 

As I was finishing up the card I realized I had not used Early Espresso. I added the 'brown' sequins from the neutral's adhesive backed sequins to meet the challenge criteria! This turned out to be a very elegant card.

I am CASE'ing (Copy And Share Everything) a card from pg. 102 in the Annual Catalog using the Masterfully Made 12 x 12 designer series paper. Below is the photo from the catalog.

I do not have the rest of the products from this quite, so I improvised with other products keeping the design/colors essentially the same. 

Both cards look beautiful because the star of the card is the designer series paper. The leaf die cut is from the Artistic dies. I always adhere adhesive sheets to my paper before die cutting so it is easier to adhere these delicate dies to my card.
