Technique Tuesday - May - Designer Series Paper

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing. 

Today features the monthly Technique Tuesday with projects using Designer Series Paper. 

With the change of the new catalog, I only have 1 pack of current designer series paper that I recently used to make a card, so I decided to create my own designer paper using stamped images! I turned to the Quiet Meadow stamp set to create with.  

The above photo has a sample strip of the DIY designer series paper in the lower right. I used a 4x5 piece of basic white to randomly stamp these images to create my design. First, I stamped the 'words' image in Petal Pink; next the 'dots' image in Tuxedo Black and lastly the two floral stamps I put on one block and stamped with Flirty Flamingo. 

I cut 3 different sizes of strips to layer as DSP onto a black layer which allowed the colors to pop. The sentiment is from the Quiet Meadow set and the floral is a die cut from the Meadow Dies. This technique is really quite simple and came together quickly.
