Today's feature is Summertime Inspiration and is giving you a sneak peak at the Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamp set and Hippo Dies. Sale-A-Bration promotion starts next week on Friday July 1, 2022! I think these two Hippo products are going to be a very popular item during Sale-A-Bration. If you want to get these two items, you'll want to place your $100 or more order early in the promotion before inventory possibly runs out before the promotion ends on August 31.
There are 3 Hippo images in the set. The dancing hippo is absolutely adorable. Summertime makes me think of dance recitals, and I've seen quite a few cards made with this cute hippo ballerina. In this card I used two tools critical to the success of the card:
- Stamparatus - the hinge plate can be moved up each time to create the row of dancing hippos
- Masking paper: pg. 149 in the annual catalog. This is a new product and much better than using post-it notes. I stamped the hippo onto the 2 sided masking paper, die cut it and peeled off one sticky side. I stamped the first hippo and then laid the masking paper over it as I moved the hinge plate up to stamp another hippo. I repeated it until I had all 4 hippos
- Pro Tip: the masking paper can stick stronger than you're used to with a post it. I pressed down in the middle of the image to leave space to make it easier to pull up the masking paper each time I needed to move it over. It looses it's stickiness a bit over time but it's still sticky for me to use in a future project.
