Technique Tuesday - October - Punches

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing. 

Today feature technique is using punches. The Heartfelt Hexagon is a new online exclusive bundle that features a hexagon punch. I also recently received the All About Autumn 6x6 DSP and thought I'd create a vertical and horizontal design using the punch and DSP.   

I first cut 2 - 4 x 5 1/4 layers of very vanilla and figured out how I wanted to layer the designs in a pattern onto this layer.  Once I glued them on, I trimmed the excess DSP. The horizontal layer I trimmed down to 4 3/4 x 4

I added a coordinating color layer to each card, moody mauve above and copper clay below. I did the same with the ribbon on each card. The vertical card I left the layer flat, the horizontal I adhered the layer with dimensionals. 

The sentiments were added from two different sets using coordinating ink, both adhered with dimensionals.

I'm super pleased with how they turned out. I'm partial to the vertical design as it was a bit easier to layout and adhere, but they are both so pretty with this beautiful autumn designer series paper (in stock week of 10/9). Leave me a comment on your favorite design.
