Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - August - Back To School

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Stampin Dreams theme which for August is creating Back To School projects.

My oldest grandson will start middle school so I was thinking of him when I begna to come up with my card idea. I love the block letters from one of the designs in the Delightfully Eclectic 12 x 12 designer series papers. I had a bunch of scraps that I decided to piece together onto a 4 1/4 x 2 7/8 sheet of basic white. I then turned to the Crafting With You bundle for some fun die cuts of 'school supplies.' 

The rest of the card came together very quickly. I added a Calypso Coral as a coordinating color with a layer embossed using the Splatter folder form the Strips & Splatter set. The 'Good Luck die cut sentimetn from the Charming Sentiments seemed to be a good fit for the occasion. I'm sure he'll love getting a card wishing him well as he maneuvers his first year of Junor high!
