Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - July Summer Fun

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Stampin Dreams theme which for July is creating 'Summer Fun' projects. 

The Sunburst cards seemed to be all the rage lately. I love to use up scraps to make cards and have quite a few from my Inked Botanicals designer series paper. Searching on YouTube/Pinterest, I followed the general instructions from Stampin" Up! Demonstrator Megan Daves. Here is a link to her blog with video details for reference. 

I'm super pleased with how this turned out for my 1st time trying it. The sentiment from the Good Feelings Stamp set fits perfectly with this theme. The 2nd half of the sentiment is on the inside of the card (yes, I did cut this stamp sentiment) Adding the fussy cut of the meditating Sloth from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper added a final touch to make this card super fun! This card will brighten up anyone's day that need a little sunshine in their life.

• 3 1/4 x 2 for sentiment die cut layer
• Basic White Layer for strips: 5 1/4 x 4 (I put adhesive sheets on this white layer)
• 5 1/4 x 4 for inside layer 
• 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 for die cut sentiment 
• Inked Botanicals 6x6 Designer Series Paper: mix and match of ~ 18 3/4" x 6" strips cut diagonally in half. 
• Zoo Crew 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper: fussy cut sloth

• Calypso Coral
