Scrapbooking Global May 18, 2023 - Birthday Blog Hop

The Scrapbooking Global Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in a scrapbooking Blog Hop Theme, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's theme is 'Birthday', brought to you by Julie Quinn. Birthday's are always a great subject to scrapbook!

I love to scrap book birthday pages, especially my grandchildren. My granddaughter just turned 3 in March so I had some new pictures from her princess party that are perfect for this challenge. There are lots of birthday sets and papers in the catalog this year. The Bright & Beautiful 6x6 designer series paper is perfect for birthday cards and projects. Luckily, I just received my product share that my Upline demonstrator offers, in time to add this and other fun specialty papers to my layout.

There are so many elements on this page which is what I love about birthday pages. The Gold Celebrations overlay DSP adds so much fun to the Soft Shimmer DSP I added to the page. I used Stampin' Write markers to give the Happy Birthday 2 color tones. I think I still need to add a typed sentiment "Let's Eat Cake" on the layout as she told me that her favorite part of the party was her cake!

I love to cut pictures, especially when the person in the photo is large enough to add as an element to the page. I decided to cut my granddaughter and decorate her with a crown and ribbon on her wand. The Friendship Royalty stamp set from the new catalog is on my wish list, but I have not ordered it yet, so I pulled out the retired "You Rule" stamp set which has a crown and princess sentiment to add to this page.
