Technique Tuesday - One Sheet Wonder Blog Hop

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Technique Tuesday. Today's topic is using the one sheet wonder technique. This is a great way to get a lot of cards done using one sheet of designer series paper. It works for both 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 paper, but you can clearly get more done using 12x 12 sheet. 

I used the following outline from demonstrator Elizabeth Jeanne Thatcher to cut my paper and create the cards. 

I send a lot of Christmas cards each year, so the one sheet wonder technique works great to use a sheet of DSP with no waste, along with saving time as the design is essentially decided. I am using a sheet from the Boughs of Holly 12x12 designer series paper; below are my cut outs

I kept the design of my 6 cards simple, letting the beauty of the paper make the card. The sentiments I used are from the 2 new Holiday kits in the kit collection along with the Very Best Occasion stamp set. I splurged and added an embossing layer of red cardstock with the Brick & Mortar folder, cut to add as the top layer on cards 3 & 5. Lastly, cards 1, 4,7 & 8 I created as a bookbinder fold which means I had an extra step to cut a small strip for the binder end and the 1/8' strip piece leftover I put inside the card. Absolutely no waste withe this sheet of designer series paper!!
