I decided to make a card using some favorite last chance products. The Sweet Conversations stamp set and Sweet heart dies are both 50% and great to have in my inventory of products to choose from, not just for Valentines, but any 'love' occasion. 

I haven't made a black and white card for some time now and always enjoy how they turn out. The stamps in this set make background stamping so easy to create. The Tag is from the Sweetheart dies.

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - June 2022 Sketch Challenge

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Crafty Sketch Challenge where the team will use the below sketch to inspire their project. 

With the different assortment of papers in the sketch, I decided to work with the Sale-A-Bration Wonderful World 12x12 designer series paper. This paper is part of a bundle with the Wonderful World stamp set, although I did not use the set in this card. Additionally, I embossed the Rich Razzleberry layer to give some texture. 

I really love the colors in this paper. The 2 - 2"x3" papers are the flip side of each other and the strip of flowers I thought fit perfectly with the sketch design. I didn't want to cover too much of the paper so I selected a small generic sentiment.  I will definitely make this sketch again!

Share it Sunday Blog Hop - June 2022 Retiring Brave Viking Set with New Snow Crystal

Today features the monthly Share It Sunday projects where the team shares any project that have been working on

My group leader creates a monthly challenge and when we complete it, we get free stuff!! I can never pass up free stuff and besides it inspires me to get creative! This month's challenge is a 10-pin challenge theme. One of the pins is a 'Curve Ball challenge - make or pair together something unexpected'. 

One of my favorite stamp sets from the retiring Jan - June Mini catalog is the Brave Viking; it just makes me laugh when I see these characters. When I first received this set I colored and fussy cut up a bunch of the images and still had a pair left so I decided to use them in this card. 

I paired it with the above two Pre-order sets from the new July - Dec mini catalog: Snow Crystal and Very Best Occasions Stamp set. The Snow Crystal image really lends itself to embossing, particularly the emboss resist technique. 

The Emboss resist technique uses clear embossing powder. Take a blending brush, blend the ink over the image and wipe any excess ink off the embossed area. With all the ink surrounding the embossed image, it looks white as it is on white card stock.  

Don't you love the sentiment as well? I think this will make a very special Christmas card!
