Technique Tuesday Mini Cards Blog Hop

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the Technique Tuesday theme to share our favorite mini card techniques and styles.

I recently made a bunch of 3 x 3 cards for a Valentines boutique using the December Lots Of Pun Paper Pumpkin kit. They were a big hit. I also had some note size card packs that I put inside of our mini paper pumpkin boxes. A great gift for anyone looking to have a stash of cards on hand.  I love that Stampin' Up carries a 20 pack of Note Cards and Envelopes that make it easy and inexpensive to create cards. Below is the sample of the notecards I made. Two of the below cards are made with pieces from the Hand Penned Memories & More Card pack. Another easy tool to use to create cards quickly, just add a sentiment and if need an embellishment

I've done card sets where they are all the same theme, i.e. thank you cards only, and sets like this one where they are a mix of sentiments to use. I use our clear envelopes on the front of the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box to insert one of the cards and adhere the clear envelope to the box with tear and tape. This makes the front of the box look decorated. I also decorated the inside flap on this one, which I do not always do with every box.

Above are the 3 x 3 mini cards I recently made using 6" x 3" thick card stock, scored at 3". To decorate the cards, I used scraps from the Sale-A-Bration Sunshine & Rainbows that is now sadly not available. The rainbows are fussy cut from the paper and I stamped the sentiment in variety of colors. Did you know Stampin' Up! carries 3 x 3 envelopes? The Postal service does not let you mail this size card, but I plan to keep these in my purse to hand to friends that need a pick me up smile. This size card is also perfect to add to any gift bag or package. These also fit perfectly in our 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 acetate boxes to give as gifts.

I've included some of the products used to make these cards in the product list at the end of this post.

Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas to create some mini cards of your own.
