#DOswts381 Pinwheel Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features a Pinwheel Inspiration Hop. The DO Stamper Stars are having a monthly challenge with the Chinese New Year as the theme. Did you know that it is tradition that artists construct extravagant pinwheels with multiple colors for the Chinese New Year? Additionally, around the outer blades of these pinwheels the Chinese artists place handwritten messages focusing on long life, good health, wealth or luck. How fun to receive a pinwheel.

There are lots of creators who create Pinwheel cards, some are the actual 3D looking pin wheel, but many are a hybrid, flatter version that makes it easier to mail. If you Google Pinwheel card, you will see lots of video tutorials.

I have not used the the Friendly Hello Designer Series paper that is included with the Friendly Hello Stamp set, free with purchase of $100 or more during Sale-A-Bration. I decided to use the front & back of one of the paper designs to create this pin wheel.

Making the pin wheel turned out to be easier than I thought it would. Seeing a video demo really helps!
