The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today features a Thanksgiving theme where the team shares projects in honor of Thanksgiving day celebrated in today Canada. Since my daughter is married to a Canadian and lives there, I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to participate in tis blog hop.
I decided to go old school, picked up a leaf from my yard and let it dry a bit before using it. I then used my re-inkers, drops of mossy meadow, calypso coral and mango melody on the large Block F and spray water on it. I dipped the front and back of the leaf into the ink, set it onto very vanilla paper, and set another piece on top to press the leaf image onto the paper.
Look how cool the leaf showed up on the page! The ink colors blended a bit more brownish than I thought they would, but I liked the details. I then took my blending brushes and blended Calypso Coral and Mango Melody around the leaf which also helped highlight the image. I took a scrap of the paper and added the sentiment.
I played with a few different designed from Beauty of the Earth and landed on the wood looking paper design. A strip of Cajun Craze was just the added color the card needed. Last, but not least, some bling with the Champagne Rhinestones.
I am really pleased with how this card turned out and had a lot of fun making it. I'll be giving this to my daughter who just so happens to be in town for a short visit after a very long hiatus of not being able to come to the U.S.
Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun, Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.
