Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set - Triple Time Stamping technique

Hello Stampers! I was in the studio playing with the new Delicate Dahlias stamp set and I'm in love! wow the floral images are fantastic.  I do not make a lot of floral cards, bit this will be a new favorite.

The image is perfect for Triple Time Stamping. Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Dawn Olchefske, who happens to be my sister, coined the term some 10 years ago. The technique is still relevant and creates gorgeous cards. Here is a link to Dawn's Video  which has all of the measurements and instructions to create this beautiful card.

First step is to cut your white or vanilla paper layers and stamp. I am stamping a background image before stamping the flowers. This is optional, but helps fill in 'white space'. I used the large handwriting image from the Very Versailles stamp set in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla paper. You can see I have my 3 layers set on top of each other. As Dawn suggested, I used a small amount of adhesive to keep them in place. (sorry for the  poor photo, I was not at my photo box at the time)

Next, I applied the beautiful Dahlia image in Petal Pink ink. The floral image looks good, but when you add the layers of paper, it really makes the images 'bloom' off the paper.

I used Crumb Cake card stock for my layers. With the softness of these colors, I decided to make this a Sympathy card and added the sentiment from the Dahlia stamp set and die cut it with one of the dies from Stitched So Sweetly. Lastly, I added the Gold etched ribbon.

Next I decided to make the same card, only I used Blackberry Bliss and Basic White Card stock - wow you can really see that image with the darker ink. I decided to make this a card for a wedding or shower with the Best Wishes sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set and die cut with the a die from the Tasteful Labels set. A touch of simple gold cord was also added from the Simply Elegant Trim.

I hope you give this technique a try. The Delicate Dahlia Stamp set is free when you purchase $100 or more in products during Sale-A-Bration, which ends September 30. 3. Fun technique. Going to give it a try when I get my Dahlia stamp. Might try it on paper with a light image on it already instead of stamping the background image.
