Share It Sunday - November 2023 - Alternative Cards From Best Destination Kit

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today I'm sharing an option to turn the 9 cards in the Best Destination kit into 27 or even 36 cards with minimal extra supplies. I am only using one card sample and the envelope for the card to show you 4 card ideas, but the same idea can be applied to the other card designs.

Below are photos of what the kit contents look like. Check out the link to the unboxing video to see how they are put together.

The cards are gorgeous as designed to be made! I love the sentiments/images in the stamp set as I anticipate I can use it in my scrapbooking vacation pages!

The above photo does not show the full spread of the 3 card base designs, but when fully opened, there are 3 decorated panels, which when trimmed make 3 cards per card base. Additionally, if desired, you can fussy cut the images in the decorated envelops to create yet a 4th card as I have done.

Aren't these beautiful?  Perfect for the wanderer in your life. The Meandering Meadow 6x6 DSP coordinates really well with this kit. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that it makes me happy when I can extend the life of kit supplies.

#DOswts423 - Holiday Treat Packaging Inspiration

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. I am a member of the DO Stamper Stars team which is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

This month challenge inspiration is about Holiday Treat Packaging. I struggle with ideas for packaging and tend to avoid making packages all together unless it is from a kit. Stampin’Up! recently shared this idea which is all about altering basic crafting products for any paper crafting occasion. They used the Beary Christmas Memories & More cards which I have in my stash and decided to CASE it for today’s challenge!!

Package Details
Starting off with the Beary Christmas Cards & Envelopes! On the long side, score at 1-1/2" (3.8 cm), 3-1/2" (8.9 cm), 5" (12.7 cm), and 7" (17.8 cm); on the short side, score at 1-1/2" (3.8 cm). Fold along the marks to create an open-ended box. Cut bottom score lines and adhere adhesive to secure them together. Add adhesive to last long section to securely close the box. Decorate and fill a cellophane bag with your favorite holiday treat and deliver to a friend!

Here is my version. Didn't this turn out cute? It was very simple to put together decorating with the Memories & More card pack.
  • Stamps
    • Beary Cute
  • Paper
    • Beary Christmas Memoreis & More Cards & Envelopes
    • Beary Christmas Memories & More card pack - stickers
  • Ink- no stamping!
  • Other
    • Trimmer or simply Scoree tool
    • Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" ribbon combo pack
    • Clear Medium Envelopes -for candy
    • Adhesives: Seal, Multipurpose glue, Tear & Tape Dimensionals
Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.

Scrapbooking Global - November 2023 - Layers Upon Layers

The Scrapbooking Global Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in a scrapbooking Blog Hop Theme, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's challenge is brought to you by Delys Cram who is inspiring us to use lots of layers when making our layout.

I can't say I'm one to use lots of layers in my scrapbooking, although I love using up my scraps of paper, which is exactly what I did with today's challenge and the Countryside Inn 12x12 designer series paper.

I started with the Boho Blue 12 x 12 cardstock as my base. I laid out a bunch of different designs of the designer paper in a variety of ways until I liked the layers. I then put the photos on top to figure out what if any additional layers I needed. I also take photos of my process so that I can adhere the layers in the way I had put them down. I had to trim a few of the scraps as well.

We recently went on a trip to London and cruised around the British Isles. I had several photos of the London Tower Bridge that we crossed and got a picture of us with it in the background. These papers coordinated perfectly with the photos. I do need to add a title in the upper left corner which I plan to print off the computer. I'm a bit short on time due to my next travel to visit my daughter in Canada!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. See the list of creators below and simply click "Next Blog" on the right of the header.
