Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop -September 2022

Welcome to the September kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

The September Paper Pumpkin Spooky Treats! kit includes:

  • Enough elements to create 18 treat boxes! The Halloween treat boxes come in 3 different designs - that’s 6 of each kind!. This all-inclusive kit includes printed box bases and tops, die-cut paper pieces, adhesives, and more! You can even mix and match the pieces to create your own spook-tacular designs!
  • Includes the In-Color Orchid Oasis Classic Stampin’ Spot!
  • This kit’s stamp set puts the TREAT in trick-or-treat with fun, Halloween-themed sentiments and designs. Embrace the spooky season with ghost, bat, spider, and star images.
  • This kit also includes a special peek-through box top on one of the box designs.
  • Finished box size: 2-1/2" x 3" x 1" (6.4 x 7.6 x 2.5 cm)
  • Coordinating Stampin’ Up! colors: Basic Black, Gray Granite, Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesia, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie

I did not use very many elements from the kit itself because I plan to make all of the treat boxes, but I did utilize the stamp set! I fussy cut the ghosts, which is a really cute image. I added the bats to the background Pumpkin Pie Designer paper which looks like one of the layers in the card. The Sentiment is stamped on one of the die cut elements but cut smaller and adhered to the card. I'm going to be sending this card to my grandsons in MT with a bit of money. They will love it!

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - September 2022 Color Inspiration

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's inspiration is a color challenge using the below 4 colors.
I decided to create using one of my favorite sketch designs for cards along with the Quiet Meadow and Meadow dies. These dies are so versatile for many cards; if you don't own them yet, I highly recommend getting them as part of your die cut inventory.

These colors are really pretty, although it is a bit hard to see in the photo the opal rounds I added to the card, they really add a nice element.

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - September Sketch

Hello crafters!

It's the monthly scrapbook project with the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop group. We are a a global group of creators comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. The common goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

This month's theme is to create a layout using the following Sketch.

If  you saw the scrapbook post I shared on 9/14, this is the 2nd page to go with that layout, still using the He's The Man 12 x 12 Designer paper. I did not do any stamping in this layout. I also had more photo's from the rodeo I wanted to fit onto the page, so I modified the sketch by using all 6 photos on this page.

The boys are Barrel Racing in these photo's which I need to journal about. I really liked how quickly this came together and coordinates with my other layout.

#DOswts395 - Basket/Weave Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's project is using a simple weave Technique using one of the die cut elements from the Scalloped Contours Dies.

I CASE'd this idea f rom Linda Heller who has a really good video and instructions here  Note: The stamp set and dies are no longer sold as a bundle in the current catalog.

I thought using the die cut was the simplest weaving technique I could find!! The second smallest die cut in the set has openings on the side and top that make it easy to weave in some paper. The smallest die layers right over it with the sentiment.

I chose to use the Sun Prints Designer Series paper for this card as it has such beautiful blues! I think it turned out so pretty!

Card Details
  • Stamps
    • Color & Contour Stamp Set
  • Paper
    • Basic Grey - card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
      • 2 x 3 1/4 for die cut layer
    • Sun Prints Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4 x 4 layer,
      • 2 coordinating strips 1/2 x 5 1/4 weaved into the die cut piece.
    • Pacific Point 1/2 x 5 1/4 adhered on back of weaved strips
    • Basic White- inside layer 5 1/4 x 4 and  2 3/4 x 1 1/2 for die cut with sentiment
  • Ink
    • Basic Grey
  • Other Adhesives:
    • Color & Contours Dies
    • Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
    • Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
    • Seal, Multipurpose glue, Dimensionals
Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you give this technique a try and make one to share with a friend!
