Share it Sunday Blog Hop - July 2022

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Share It Sunday projects where the team shares any project that have been working on. 

I've been wanting to try the Rings of Love Designer Series paper that is FREE item with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration. It coordinates with the Ringed With Nature Bundle, but I do not currently own this bundle. The paper is gorgeous on it's own and has lots of patters and designs to choose from. 

I recently attended out team Zoom session. We always have a Mystery Stamping topic. Based on the supplies suggested to make this card, I made the below. I recently had a childhood friend from my neighborhood pass away and thought this card would be appropriate to send her family.

• Night of Navy layer- 5 1/4 x 4  - Embossed

• Die cut with layering circles (3 x 3)
• Little bird is fussy cut from one of the designs as well 
• Basic White: Scrap for sentiment - Tip: The original punch is larger than the size I needed. To make smaller I stamped the sentiment and then punched just a top portion of the paper near the sentiment and then stuck the lower portion of the paper to punch closer to the sentiment. Make sure you piece of scrap is large enough to hold into the punch.

Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - July 2022

Welcome to the July kit Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

The July Paper Pumpkin kit, Sending Good Thoughts has a nautical theme and will make 9 cards from the kit supplies if you make them as the instructions outline.  

We make alternatives to show you how to extend your kit supplies, or just add in a few of your own craft supplies to create with the stamp set and extra elements from the kit. The coordinating Stampin’ Up! colors in the kit are: Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Fresh Freesia, Pacific Point, Poppy Parade. 

I've been having so much fun trying other water coloring techniques I decided to use the stencil outline of the coral reef and water color with it. I added a drop of poppy parade ink refill onto a glass block and with my watercolor painter watered it down a bit and started painting inside the stencil. Below shows the supplies  

Here is the finished watercolor image. It really does give it that watery effect of coral flowing under water. I did add some watercolor paint splatter to the final product. 

I also decided to use the smaller image of the horse fish in the stamp set with a water color effect. I stamped it in the Bermuda bay ink and spritzed it with my spritzer. In this case, less water is best. See the finished products below!

World Watercolor Month

Hello crafters! I hope you are enjoying all the creations commemorating World Water Color month! I've been trying a number of the different watercolor techniques with a variety of Stampin' Up! products. I recently made a few different cards for a challenge and struggled with which one to share so you're going to get 2 cards, although just one with the details. (My last watercolor technique for this month will be shared with my alternative Paper Pumpkin project on Friday!)

Isn't this a beautiful card! I used the No-Line Water coloring technique to make this card (here is a video link to an older video I like) I used the 3rd floral image in the Wonderful World Stamp set. I have really enjoyed creating with this stamp set and designer series paper. This bundle is a Free Sale-A-Bration Tier II gift when you place a retail order for $100

• Tip the layer over the water color paper does overlap so you can cover up the stems a bit.

• Smoky Slate - Floral image was stamped off first and then stamped onto fluid paper
• Rich Razzle berry - sentiment and watercolor floral

Below is the other card that I really liked using the watercolor wash technique. Check out this video for details on water color wash. You can add as many or few wash colors as you like for your card design. The colors in this card are: Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Night of Navy. Sentiments are from the Amazing Phrasing Sale-A-Bration set, also free with $100 retail purchase.
