Share It Sunday August 2021 - Halloween Treat Bags

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features the monthly Share It Sunday projects where the team shares any project that have been working on.

I've been preparing for a vendor/craft fair that I participated in Saturday (yesterday). I made several treat boxes, one which I shared yesterday made out of the Tombstone Boxes. Today I'm sharing the treat bag made using the All Dressed Up Dies (see product list below). I made 12 of them and 8 sold, they we're more popular than the Tombstone boxes.

The All Dressed up dies have a die cut that creates a purse. You need to die cut two pieces of paper. I of course used the Cute Halloween DSP. The bottom/sides are then adhered together with Tear & Tape and/or Stampin Seal+. I used both, tape on the sides and Seal + on the bottom. I found the DSP can tear at the die cut seams, so be careful when applying the Seal+. The die cuts also have a 'pocket' cut and label, which I also used. The sentiment is from Clever Cats stamp set. I fussy cut many of the characters in the paper. The Halloween Punch cuts the pumpkin, cat and one of the ghosts.

Black & White Gingham was perfect for the bag straps, adhered with Tear & Tape. I put some crinkled paper and about 6 different mini chocolate candies in the bag.

These were super fun to make. I'm pretty certain I'll make more for the next vendor/craft show I participate in.

Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, site back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.

DO SWTS -368 - Mini Holiday Catalog Inspiration

Welcome to the DO Stamper Stars Blog Hop. The DO Stamper Stars is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are part of Dawn Olchefkse's leader team. Each month we participate in 2 Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today's feature project will use inspiration from the Mini Holiday catalog! I've been making all kinds of treat bags/projects for a Vendor/Craft fair I signed up to be in today. I particularly love the Tombstone treat boxes. They are so sturdy and easy to decorate.

The below is my favorite of the 5 designs I made and is less kid-like than the other's, but I do love them all. I used the die cuts from the Seasonal Swirl Dies. I cut the base paper with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The added touch is the cute stars. The best descriptive word for this is "Cute"!

Below are all 5 designs. As you can see I used the images from the Cute Halloween paper. 3 of them you can cut with the Halloween punch, but the others I had to fussy cut, easy to do while watching TV!
I used different/coordinating colors on all of the designs. I am selling them with candy inside as well. I do hope people enjoy them. I had a lot of fun designing and creating them.

Here is the final display box I have them all in to look appealing to purchase. Great head start to the Halloween festivities!

Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration to make Fun Fold cards of your own. They really are a lot of fun!

Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop - August 2021

Welcome to the August Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. A Group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators join to create collaboratively using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. Specifically, we design alternative cards, scrapbook pages, or other paper projects using the contents of the kit and a few coordinating additions from our own stash.

Normally it is too late to get the August Paper Pumpkin, but due to a glitch in Stampin' Up's! system, customers were unable to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin’s Shelli Hope Box between 31 July–5 August. Stampin' Up! would like to make it up to customers! From 24 August–31 August, they are offering the Shelli Hope Box to all North American customers, regardless of subscription. Woo Hoo ! Perfect opportunity to give this beautiful box a try. Click the link to order the  Hope Box

I've seen lot's of examples use black cardstock for the base card. It absolutely pop's the colors of the die cut. I CASE'd the card from Rachel Tessman with a few minor changes. I used the Die Cuts from the Color & Contour bundle ( a new favorite!) and I incorporated some of the gorgeous ribbon from the kit. Here is a photo of the front of my card.

Here is a photo pf the inside. I took what was left of the die cut and then die cut Basic white card stock in the next size down die cut from the Color & Contour bundle. I fit it into the leftover piece from the front. I added  sentiment from In Your Words stamp set, a free Sale-A-Bration Hostess only set. I just love how the card turned out.

I decided to make another card from this beautiful kit using the cutouts of the butterflies die cuts. I flipped it over, using only the white side and selected the pink card from the kit. I used the strips of patterned paper behind the butterflies and inserted the die cut butterflies onto the card. The sentiment was die cut from the Tasteful Label dies, a must have die cut set! This card makes me smile. I do believe in miracles and know there that God is watching over us.

Don’t forget to check out all the fun projects my friends made as part of this blog hop! The Crafty Collaborations group puts on several blog hops a month, as well as monthly tutorial bundles, and other ‘work smarter not harder’ projects.

Sketch Challenge - Crafty Collaborations August 2021 Challenge

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today features a Crafty Challenge using the below Sketch as a guide to designing/creating a project.

Ironically this sketch is pretty close to a Mystery Card Challenge our Team recently participated in using the following details.
STAMP/BUNDLE: choose a stamp set for a sentiment.

    PAPER:
___Card base: half sheet of cardstock
        ___DSP - pattern #1 - TWO of 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”
        ___DSP - pattern #2 - TWO of 1 3/4” x 3”
        ___Coordinating color cardstock- 4” x 5 1/4”
___white/vanilla for sentiment (sized to fit sentiment)
        ___coordinating color to layer sentiment

PUNCH/DIES: cut sentiment with label dies or punches (optional).

INK: to match

OTHER: Ribbon/Trim, Embellishment jewels/dots - optional

TOOLS: bone folder, scissors and adhesive

I choose the new Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper, a new favorite of mine. I layered this on Soft Seafoam, a color I do not use often. This was attached to a card base of Misty Moonlight. I chose the sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes set using Misty Moonlight Ink, die cut with a die from the Tasteful Labelse. I layered this onto the Be Dazzling paper from Sale-A-Bration and added a few basic Rhinestones.

As you can see the strips of Designer Series Paper are not symmetrical/same size as the sketch sample shows, but the design is in keeping with the general guide of the sketch.

I thought this was such an easy and quick card to make, I CASE'd (Cope And Share Everything) another from Beverly Jackson, a demonstrator on our team.

I recently purchased the Color & Contour Bundle and decided to use it for the above card. The Designer Seires paper is Bloom Where Your Planted. Beverly used this in her card and I really liked the two selections in the horizontal layout. In this card, I had to make my strips a tad smaller (1 1/2 x 2 3/4; 1 1/2 x 1 1/2) This was so they would fit better on the largest die cut I used from the bundle with Cinnamon Cider card stock. I then added a layer of Petal Pink cardstock just peeking through the scallops in the die cut. The base layer is Cajun Craze cardstock. I stamped the images and sentiment in Cajun craze and added petal pink ink to the petals along with a touch of crushed curry using the markers to give some dimension to the florals. Lastly, I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and Champagne Rhinestones. I love how this card turned out. I am definitely going to enjoy playing more with this Color & Contours Bundle!!

Now Let's dig into more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you Give this sketch a try and find more awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.
