DOswts355 Slimline Card Blog Hop

Hello Crafters! 

Welcome to the DOswts#354 Blog Hop featuring the Slimline Card design using the Darling Donkeys stamp set along with the beautiful Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, each free with a separate $50 purchase from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Slimline cards are so much fun to make and work great for when you need to put money or business size gift certificate into a card. Use a regular business envelope to mail this card.  

Card Details

Paper
o Basic White CS 8 1/2" x 7", score and fold at 3 1/2"
o Cherry Cobbler CS - 3 squares 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" - -die cut with largest stitched shape square 
o Flower & Field DSP - 3 squares - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" - die cut with medium stitched shape square 
o Basic White CS - 3 squares - 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" - tip stamp each donkey image in black first then die cut with 2nd smallest stitched shape square. Stamp sentiment in cherry cobbler once cut.

Virtual Party Sneak Peak Blog Hop

 

Hello Friends!

This is a Sneak Peek Blog Hop of the Virtual Party Scheduled Saturday, January 16 at 10am. I am the featuring the Darling Donkeys stamp set along with the beautiful Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, both free with minimum purchase from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. 

Card Instructions -Design CASED from Julie Davison

1. Start with card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card based scored at 4 1/4" - I used Poppy Parade in this card  

2. Cut Basic white card stock layer 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" -adhere to front of card base

3. Cut Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5 1/4" x 4", cut this piece at 2"and flip DSP - tip vertical stripes of this DSP look best. Adhere to on top of white layer on front card base.

4. Cut card stock strip 4" x 3/4" -I used Flirty Flamingo - adhere to cover where to two DSP patters meet.   

5. Cut Basic white card stock 4" x 3". Stamp the Donkey with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Using the Largest Oval from the Stiched Shaped Dies, place over image and run through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Color the outline of the donkey using the Early Espresso water color pencil; use a blender pen to smooth out the lines. Using the other side of your blender pen, dip in Grey Granite ink pad to color the inside of the donkey. Clean off the blender pen and dip in Sahara Sand ink pad to color the hooves. Color the flower with Markers or Stampin' Blends, Real Red and Shaded Spruce. Using Stampin' Dimensionals Adhere to left side of card. 

6. Using a scrap of white card stock stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut to 1 3/8" x 3/8". Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Adhere to right of card

7. Embellish with White Twine bow by adhering with mini glue dots below the sentiment piece.

DOswts354 - Sketch Inspiration Hop

Hello Crafters!

Welcome to the DOswts#354 Blog Hop featuring the Darling Donkeys stamp set along with the beautiful Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, both free with purchase from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. You select one item free with a $50 product purchase, two items with a $100 product purchase. 

 


Card Instructions

1.Start with card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card based scored at 4 1/4" - I used Granny Apple Green in this card

2.Cut designer series paper (DSP) 4" x 2 5/8" and adhere horizontally to card front. Cut 2nd strip DSP using flip side of same paper at 5" x 3/4" and adhere vertically on top of first DSP to left side of card.  

3.Cut Basic white card stock 3 1/4" x 2 1/4". Using Clear Block D, Stamp the Donkey with Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the bottom portion of strip. Using the Basic Grey water color pencil, color the outline of the Donkey; use a blender pen to smooth out the lines. Using the other side of your blender pen, dip in Smoky Slate ink pad to color the inside of the donkey. Clean off the blender pen and dip in Sahara Sand ink pad to color the hooves.  

4.On the same white strip stamp the sentiments with Tuxedo Black Memento ink at the top of the same white strip. TIP: I used 2 sentiments and placed both on same clear block, but with space in between for the thread.  . 

5.Embellish white strip with Linen Thread and Holiday Rhinestones. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals slightly right of vertical strip
